MARRICKVILLE Project

Set in the heart of the Inner West, this semi-detached terrace was given an additional story not visible from the front facade, creating a forever home for our clients and their growing family without disrupting the traditional streetscape.

 

With a focus on sustainability, thermal regulation and acoustic performance we incorporated features such as sustainable Australian plantation hardwood flooring, a roof-mounted solar hot water system, two large rainwater tanks and a huge custom-made chicken coop with rooftop vegetable garden. Sitting directly under the flight path, the new addition was also designed and built to withstand substantial aircraft noise.
