CROYDON Project

Located within an Inner West conservation area, this immaculately preserved free-standing house was renovated with a modern open-skillion extension completely hidden from the street behind the heritage-listed facade.

Skylights and highlight windows bring an abundance of natural light into the home, while glass-panelled folding doors that span the width of the house transform the extension into an open-aired living space that flows out onto the large deck. Original brickwork and timber beams were exposed and reused to create features that couple the original heritage and contemporary styles together.

Custom-made pieces including a Blackbutt kitchen bench top and matching dining table were added to complement the Blackbutt tongue and groove flooring throughout the extension.
